Madras Dyslexia Association is a not for profit Non Governmental agency started in the year 1992 with the primary aim of helpingchildren with Dyslexia.” Dyslexia” also referred to, as a Specific Learning Difficulty usually is characterized by problems with written or spoken language.
A simple definition of dyslexia is 'Intelligent, bright or even gifted individuals, that for no obvious reason, struggle to learn through the medium of written or spoken language.” The word dyslexia describes a different kind of mind, often gifted, over-productive, and that learns in a different way. In the past two decades MDA has been working to provide support in every possible way to the children with dyslexia and their parents.
Digitalisation of the training modules:The modules will be so designed that the teacher does not have to spend more than 15 minutes continuously with any of the sub module. There will be a question and answer session at the end of each sub module and p only after completing this question and answer session successfully, the teachers will be able to move to the next module.
To begin with we may be impacting 100,000 children in the first year by training 5000 teachers and by 5 years we should be covering the whole state that is likely to have nearly 30 lakhs of
dyslexic children by that time.
